Vintage Hercules Bicycle Yard Sale Score!

We were making our way home one afternoon after an unsuccessful estate sale pick when we spotted a yard sale sign and swung the car around. Boy are we glad we did!
We scored this 1940's Hercules Bicycle! It was owned by a Scottish Police Officer and has a generator built in to the front hub.

 Any idea on it's value?

"For Amusement Only"

After a bit of horse trading we brought home this vintage 1950's Bally Pinball Machine top with very kitschy art of bathing beauties sunning at the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

This is it shortly after we got it home.

BEFORE

We took note of the obvious layer of surface dirt and some melted mystery goo then we looked deeper. Lots of original parts and plenty of shine to the paint under all the grime.

Sure is going to be fun giving these lovely ladies a makeover!
I'll be adding photos regularly...

Unearthed Military Industrial Metal Desk

We spied a large metal military industrial desk buried under a pile of desks in a dark and nesty, for a lack of a better term, junk shop a few weeks back. It spoke to us and after some research on line I am glad we listened.

We had no way to get it home so made arrangements to retrieve it at a later date, giving them time to dig it out a bit, no rush.

Today we had a chance to visit it and get photos and measurements. It is 59" x 30". Once we get it home we hope to discover the maker.

What I think we have is a very cool well-used tank design desk.

It has 6 drawers and 2 pull out shelves (The shelves underneath are not part of the desk.) The top is covered with a rubber like material that has wear but in all the right places. The back is enclosed.

I haven't seen any dents or scrapes, let's see if we can keep it that way getting it home.

We've expanded!

We are so happy with how things are going at Ye Olde City!

I started filling the new booth with all sorts of treasures. A beauty salon dryer chair, a vintage western motif toy chest, a hydraulic doctor's chair, two classic Schwinn stingray bikes, old insulators, a really cool vintage AC Spark Plug display...and more!
Tomorrow I will add this charging station I just finished today. It's made from a re-purposed piano bench (my own design). Not only does it function as a bench you can charge all your devices out of sight and no messy cords to deal with! Under the removable charging dock there is a power strip and plenty of room to store accessories.

Hope to see you soon!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi everyone, thanks for stopping by. I am busy making things for my booth and hunting for kitschy things to add. I have just expanded and it's coming together pretty well I think. Have a look around my site at the other pages to get to know me a little better and check back often to see what's new in my world.

Quote I saw the other day on some bar napkins...
